A Brief Explanation of the Bio-Energetic Effects of the Electro-Acuscope / Myopulse System

When we are absorbed by pain and inflammation, most of us are not likely to attribute our condition to micro-electrical cellular changes, yet healing and tissue repair begin at this fundamental level.

Research has shown that biological processes that have been adversely affected by illness, injury, surgery, or prolonged chronic inflammation produce tissue that has an abnormal electrical capacitance.  The cells are either depleted and the involved area cannot “hold a charge”, reflecting higher electrical resistance than surrounding healthy tissue; or, in the acute stages, the tissue is abnormally electrically over-active.

The healing process is associated with a series of electro-chemical reactions involving increased local circulation and enhanced movement of materials into and out of the cells. Cellular energy production is thus an essential component fueling this regenerative activity.  After a period of time, when the cells are no longer able to manufacture sufficient levels of micro-electricity, chronic conditions may last indefinitely (healing is incomplete).  In the human body’s attempt to resolve long-standing issues, chronic pain often results; a prolonged state frequently includes underlying inflammation.

The Acuscope/Myopulse System addresses the full spectrum of abnormal bio-electricity and helps the body to restore itself to equilibrium.  This effect generally requires a series of treatments. 

Bio-Energetic Technology

An increased awareness of the electrical nature of organic tissue repair has led to the development of technology that is capable of supporting and enhancing the self-healing process. The Electro-Acuscope and Myopulse are advanced instruments that have demonstrated (in controlled studies plus 28 years of clinical results) a dramatic increase in the rate of tissue restoration to a healthy condition, and the reduction of unnecessary inflammation, thus assisting the body to rapidly eliminate major causes of pain and suffering.

Using a much lower current than a milli-amperage TENS unit, the Electro-Acuscope reduces pain by stimulating tissue regeneration with low voltage micro-currents (in an impedance-controlled infinitely variable square waveform envelope) rather than by over-stimulating nerves with grosser high voltage analgesic-type pain signal-blocking currents.  Low amperage has been found to release beneficial endorphins (natural pain suppressors) into the tissue while enhancing naturally occurring regenerative cellular mechanisms (Ngok Cheng, et al.) Utilizing highly sophisticated technological advancements in bio-feedback and tissue monitoring, the current continuously and automatically self-adjusts to overcome the electrical resistance in the damaged tissue between any two electrodes.  The result is improved conductivity and re-activated cellular activity.

The Myopulse, companion instrument to the Acuscope, both monitors the electrical potentials of soft, connective tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia) and delivers micro-currents in (infinitely variable) sinusoidal waveform patterns.  Whether the cells are over- or under-firing, the measurable effect is normalization of the electrical fields produced by contractile tissue.  Whether flaccid or in spasm, pain is reduced, normal range of motion is ultimately restored.

Both the Acuscope & Myopulse, in effect, establish two-way communication between their own internal computerized circuitry and the electrical circuitry in the area of living tissue being treated.  By introducing gentle micro-currents (below the patient’s threshold of awareness) in waveforms calibrated to mimic the body's own best possible electrical signals, naturally occurring normal conductivity is restored.  Once resistance is overcome, the self-healing capacity of the tissue at a cellular level is reinstated.
