Trigger Probe

Designed to provide precise point stimulation using any of the three sizes of Ball Tips. With attached cable that plugs into the 4-Pin Jack, this accessory is the Active Probe and must be used in combination with a Reference, most commonly as a set with the Non-Trigger Probe. However, it can also be used together with a Mini-Plate Placement Electrode, a Hand Held Bar, or the Large Plate Unit, etc. The “Trigger” provides a convenient way to initiate a stimulation cycle with a light tap and release.

Non-Trigger Probe

The Banana plug of a Coiled Accessory Cord inserts into one end; a Ball Tip screws into the other end. Plug into the Blue Reference Jack when being used in combination with the single tip Trigger Probe, or any other Active Electrode that is plugged into the Red Jack.

Ball Tips

There are three sizes of Tips (Narrow: 1/4″; Medium: 3/8″; and Large: 1/2″)

Any size Tip may be inserted into the Trigger (Active) and/or Non-Trigger (Reference) Probe by screwing the threaded end of the Tip into the probe. All new instruments include the Standard Set – two Narrow and two Medium Tips.

Usually used as a set of two of the same size Tips. However, a single Tip of any size on the Trigger Probe as the Active Electrode can be combined with the Large Plate Unit, a single Mini-Plate Electrode, or the Handheld Bar as a Reference.

The Narrow Tips provide the most precisely focused specificity. The Medium Tips are most commonly used; especially for AcuPoints and when evaluating an injury to determine the best access to the most acute tissue. The Large Tips are especially comfortable for applying a gentle AcuPressure point massage (specialty order item).

Handheld Reference
Electrode Bar

Must be used with Conductive Electrolyte Solution (CEL-0071B) as with any metal alloy plate surface in order to remain slippery wet throughout prolonged treatment time. Be sure that the entire surface of the Bar in contact with the hand and fingers is covered thoroughly. If it dries, apply additional Solution, or spray with Distilled Water.

This basic accessory is included as part of the standard set provided by the Manufacturer with every new instrument.

Coiled Accessory Cords

Connect the Non-Trigger (Reference) Probe to the instrument using a Coiled Cord. Also, for use with Large Plates and all of the various size Rollers. Use LEMO Plug Cords with the Acuscope Model 80T. All previous models use Coiled Cords that have Banana Plugs on both ends.

Coiled Cords with Banana Plugs on both ends are used to connect the Large Plates to the Junction Box. The Acuscope 80T package includes two for this purpose. One of this type of Coiled Cord is included with a Myopulse to connect the Large Plate to the Junction Bar. They are sold individually. (Right cord shown in photo.)

A LEMO Plug Coiled Cord is used to connect the Junction Box to the Acuscope 80T blue ring Reference Jack; or to connect the Junction Bar to the Myopulse 75T or TN. The new T model Acuscope and Myopulse use Coiled Cords of this type to connect the Non-Trigger Probe and all of the various size Rollers. Sold as a set of two with one red and one blue LEMO Plug. (Left Cords shown in photo.)

THE BEST WAY TO ORGANIZE the Coiled Cords and Straight Lead Wires (for the Mini-Plates) as well as the Ear Clip Set and Headband Lead Wires so that they don’t get tangled sitting in a heap, is wall hooks or over-the-door hooks. See an example below: Ultimate Cord Organization.

Straight Lead Wires

Sets of two Mini-Plates are packaged with sets of two Straight Lead Wires (7′). Replacement sets of two Mini-Plates or two Lead Wires may be purchased separately. It is recommended that only thin Straight Lead Wires be used with Mini Plates, since the Coiled Accessory Cords are heavier, the coils create torque and tend to pull the small plates away from the skin.

The photo shows wires with LEMO plugs used with the T model system (on the left); and wires with banana plugs on both ends (on the right) which are used with all previous models.

LEMO Adapters

Available in sets of one red ring and one blue ring (although this color-coding does not alter the conduction of current in any way). Provided for use when an accessory with banana plugs is the only type available while using the T Model system.

Mini-Plate Placement Electrodes

Available in Three Sizes: 1” X 1”; 1” X 3”; and 2” X 2”

Sets of two Mini-Plates are packaged with sets of two Straight Lead Wires (7’). Replacement sets of two Mini-Plates and/or two Straight Lead Wires may be purchased separately. It is recommended that only Straight Lead Wires be used with Mini Plates, since the Coiled Accessory Cords are heavier, the coils create torque and tend to pull the small plates away from the skin.

The Mini-Plates provide a diffuse electrode contact site. They were designed to provide treatment to a small, localized area for periods of continuous stimulation. One Mini-Plate can also serve as a stationary Reference electrode used together with a moving Active Probe or single Roller Electrode.

EXAMPLES:

The 1” X 1” Mini-Plates are especially useful on any small, very contoured area such as on hands and feet; or adjacent to the Spine when addressing a single Nerve Root. The photo far left shows positioning of Plates used in Mode-2 for relaxation of legs and lower back while upper body or facial procedures are applied utilizing Mode-1 of the Myopulse 75LN or 75TN.

The 1” X 3” Mini-Plates are used as Reference Electrodes under the Clavicles (“collar bones”) plugged in one at a time in combination with a Mini-Roller or other Active Electrode applied to same side of neck and/or face directly above. They are also used when addressing three Nerve Roots along the Spine (middle photo).

The 2” X 2” large square Mini-Plates (photo far right) are frequently used to address the larger joints of the legs, hips, and shoulders.

Combinations of two different size Mini Plates can be varied as needed to address the contours of connective tissue. For example: a 1”x 1” Plate at the origin of the Trapezius muscle high on the neck near the skull (Active) and a 1” x 3” Plate under the Scapulae (Reference).

Large Plate Unit – Acuscope

Includes:

  • 2 Large Chromium Alloy Plates
  • Acuscope Junction BOX
  • 3 Coiled Accessory Cords (one w/ LEMO Plug; two w/ Banana Plug both ends)

Used with the Acuscope, for bilateral monitoring and treatment of the Nervous System. The two Large Plates are placed under both feet, or both hands.

Two Coiled Cords attach the Plates to the two jacks on one side of the Junction Box. A single Coiled Cord is attached to the other side; and the other end of this third cord is inserted into the Acuscope’s blue ring Reference Electrode Jack.

The circuitry in the Junction Box combines and reconfigures the vast amount of biofeedback acquired from the two Large Plates into a single reference as the current moves upward toward the Active electrode above; and splits the treatment evenly to both plates as it moves downward. Be sure to place the Junction Box off to the side, not between the two plates, as the plates generate an electrical field that will influence the circuitry within the Box.

The Large Plate Unit may be used in combination with a Trigger Probe, the Grand Ball Probe, any size Single Roller (Large or Mini) or a single Mini-Plate Placement Electrode of any size. When it is placed under the feet, it is the most effective Reference for using the Auricular Probe and also the Odonton Probe because it derives feedback from and sends a dispersive signal to the entire Nervous System in general.

Large Plate and Junction Bar – Myopulse

Only one Large Plate is used for a treatment with the Myopulse.

The Plate is connected to the Junction Bar by a Coiled Cord with banana plugs on both ends; then another Coiled Cord is plugged into the other side of the Bar and the LEMO Plug of that cord inserts into the blue ring Reference Electrodes Jack.

Since the purpose of Myopulse treatment is to address the condition of an individual muscle or muscle group, place the Large Plate directly under the muscle or muscle group being treated. The Junction Bar has circuitry programmed to reconfigure the vast amount of feedback acquired from such a broad skin contact surface area.

This Reference electrode can be used in combination with any single probe or roller, or any size Mini-Plate applied as the Active electrode on and/or around the pain site. A Large Plate (+ Bar) is especially effective as a reference in combination with the Grand Single Roller on leg muscles using the Myopulse 75L or 75T (large body muscle calibration).

Y-Probe

A Trigger Probe (with 4-pin jack attached cable)

Includes two sets of Chromium Alloy Tips*:

  • Long*
  • Short*
  • Ultra-Short (optional)

The Short Tips are used most frequently. Long Tips may be used on large back muscles, shoulders, hips, legs, and large joints, especially in the treatment of athletic injury. The Ultra-Short Tips, while not a Standard Tip Set, are also popular for treatment of the face, around small wrist joints, hands, and fingers.

The Y-Probe has become the most popular electrode for use with the Myopulse. Usually applied in slow motion, maintaining contact, sweeping steadily and smoothly back-and-forth/up-and-down across the skin surface.

However, it is also frequently used with the Acuscope for Point work. Using Short Tips, it offers an ideal electrode for convenient assessment and bi-lateral treatment of the Spinal Nerve Roots (see photo). Additionally, with a fixed span between the Ball Tips, it is valuable for evaluation and comparison of conductivity readings from location to location around a pain site/treatment area.

It is advisable to maintain separate pools of Electrolyte Solution or Cream when treating Points using Y-Probe with the Acuscope, so that the current does not bridge across the skin. This is not necessary with the Myopulse since as it glides continuously over the skin surface, the signal fans out deep into the connective tissue located directly beneath the electrode.

Within the body of the probe, circuitry divides the current into the Active Tip and the Reference Tip; so, this unique Probe is used alone, complete unto itself. It is called a bi-polar electrode. Just as with separate electrodes, when one Tip is positively charged the other is negatively charged. During treatment, the polarity of the electrodes switches every 2 seconds, causing the current to move in one direction, then in the other direction, back-and-forth.

Moving one way, from the Reference towards the Active electrode, it is picking up biofeedback (Input) from the body; moving in the other direction, from the Active towards the Reference electrode, it is delivering a “corrective influence” (Output) into the tissue. Thus, the Acuscope and Myopulse are referred to as intelligent I/O biotechnology.

Grand Ball Probe

Designed primarily for large area treatment, it can be applied in a comfortable deep tissue massaging action. Extensively used in Sports Injury Therapy, as it is great for application over and around the contours of joints, large muscles and muscle groups.

Like any single Trigger Probe, it is used in combination with a Reference Electrode such as the Large Plate Unit (Acuscope) or single Large Plate (Myopulse); or together with any size Mini-Plate Placement Electrode or Handheld Bar; or when using the Grand Single Roller as a Reference electrode.

Since it is a Trigger Probe, The Grand Ball Probe (GBP) is the Active Electrode, so for pain management applications, place it on the site of the pain, with the Reference placed elsewhere such as in the hand. Using the Myopulse, the GBP is commonly placed on or near to the Origin of a muscle, with a Mini-Plate as Reference on or near Insertion.

Using the Acuscope, the Grand Ball Probe can be used in combination with the Large Plate Unit when stimulating Master AcuPoints (covering a broader surface area than the regular size Trigger Probe Tips) providing a powerful General Systemic Well-Being Treatment.

The Grand Ball Probe (GBP) can be combined with the placement of any size Mini-Plate (MP) for a PART TWO Treatment Procedure. Your choice will be determined by the size of the target area. For example:

  • place a 1” X 1” MP in the palm of the hand for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and treat all along the wrist and arm with GBP;
  • place a 1” X 3” MP under the Tricep and treat with the GPB on the Bicep for a sprain, strain, pulled muscle, etc.;
  • place a 2” X 2” MP in front of the Hip and treat the back (same side) with GBP. Etc.

Large Single Roller

(Circa 1980) Simply designed to be used over any fairly large area as the Active Electrode. It can also be used as a comfortable Handheld Bar. In Esthetic application, the Large Single Roller is used to treat neck & décolleté.

When moving over an area, the broad surface of the barrel gives a dispersive effect diffusing current into the tissue below. Originally created for applying prolonged wide area stimulation, it is no longer considered the most ergonomically balanced roller electrode. A more comfortable alternative choice for the same purposes would now be the Mini-Double Roller.

Large Double Roller

The Large Double Roller was the first paraspinal electrode designed by Dr. Nebrensky for use with the Electro-Acuscope. We all thought it was brilliant when he first created it and it is still popular in any pain management practice.

This weighty roller is bi-polar, like the Y-Probe, and used alone; it is not combined with any other accessory since each roller head has opposite polarity. Unlike the Y-Probe, however, two Coiled Accessory Cords are inserted into the base of the handle and both cords are inserted into the set of two REMOTE Electrode outlets.

Since one roller is the Active (cord on that side plugged into red ring jack) and the other is the Reference (cord plugged into blue ring jack), it is oriented accordingly. In the left photo above, the Active roller is placed higher up, closer to the brain, with the Reference below. In the right photo, the Active roller is closer to the Spine on one side with the Reference roller further out to that side. Serving many purposes, this Roller is used for all issues of the Spine including Scoliosis, Lordosis, Spinal Stenosis, Subluxation, and for general back pain syndromes. It can also be used on legs, especially for hamstring injuries. Also, for Cellulite Treatment using the Myopulse 75LN or 75TN.

Mini Single Roller

A small, smooth little roller, excellent for treating areas such as fingers, toes and the wrists; it is perfect for treating the face. It may be used to contour the ankle bone, under the feet, or anywhere a precise, moving treatment is desired. It is especially good for treating children.

Mini Double Roller

A versatile, light-weight roller for somewhat larger areas. However, it can be used practically anywhere. Designed for working small muscles on the face and neck and literally any small, round muscle or small muscle group. Its light weight and ergonomic design makes it very easy and comfortable to manipulate. As a treatment tool, it is especially useful around joints such as the ankle, knee, shoulder, and elbow.

Since one electrode is the Active and the other is the Reference, they are oriented accordingly:

Using the Myopulse (photo left), the Mini Double Roller is the Active (cord plugged into red ring jack) applied to the forearm above; while the Large Plate is the Reference (cord plugged into blue ring jack) below. Junction Bar being shown.

Using the Acuscope (photo right), the Double Mini Roller is the Active, applied closer to the brain; with the Reference being the Large Plate Unit under the feet below. Black Junction Box not shown in photo.

Grand Single Roller

A versatile electrode which can be used in three ways:

  1. Plug in one Coiled Accessory Cord (either handle) and insert into Active (Red Ring Jack). Often used in combination with a Large Plate (plus Junction Bar) as the Reference (plugged into the Blue). Its heavy weight and smooth rolling motion makes it popular with patients as a massage-like device; as well as providing a diffuse, dispersive current application. Great for treating the large muscles of the back while the patient is lying face down on the treatment table. Also, for hamstrings, glutes and even calves. It is also used in this way for treatment of Cellulite (Myopulse 75TN)
  1. Plug in one Coiled Accessory Cord (either handle) and insert into Reference (Blue Ring Jack) use the large, rounded mass makes the Grand Single Roller an excellent single Reference electrode under a hand (see photo) comfortably contacting the entire palm/fingers surface. Under the foot, it curves into the arch where a large flat plate would not touch in most cases.

CAUTION: Lift holding both handles; the weight (nearly 6 pounds) can be dangerous if accidentally dropped.

Ear Clip Set

Brainwave patterns reflect a person’s state of mind. If agitated, nervous and/or excited, an EEG will depict erratic, wildly spiking waveforms; when a person is feeling calm, relaxed, and peaceful, brainwaves are even and regular in formation. Studies have shown that elite athletes produce brainwaves in the Alpha Frequency range (7 – 13 cps) prior to peak performance: shooting a basket, hitting a golf shot, an archer’s bullseye. Less-competent athletes’ brains produce anxious Beta brainwaves.

The therapeutic effect is produced by using the Ear Clips (Acuscope) at an Alpha Frequency of 8 or 10 Hz, usually for 15 to 20 minutes, promoting even regular brainwaves that trigger the body’s Central Nervous System (CNS) into a calm state. With the repeated experience of deep relaxation, the nerves tend to remain calm even when under stress.

Headband Set

The Headband provides the opportunity for transcranial, bilateral applications at the Temporal Lobes, the Frontal Lobes, or the Occipital Lobes. Just as with the Ear Clips, the therapeutic benefit is to produce Alpha Frequency Brainwaves for a period of deep relaxation.

Frequently the results include elimination of tension headaches, diminished eye strain, helping to overcome jet lag, controlling emotional stress disorders, as well as improved sleep patterns. Repeated use creates a powerful cumulative effect: an increased ability to relax at will—or remain in a relaxed state—even when facing sudden stressors.

Highly recommended as part of a pre- and post-operative therapy program, microcurrent transcranial stimulation has far-reaching benefits, especially if one considers the best state of mind for speedy recovery.

Odonton Probe
(Intra-Oral)

Applied inside the mouth (without any Conductive Solution). Used in combination with the Large Plate Unit (Plates under both feet + Junction Box) in an Acuscope procedure known as “The Odonton Technique” for General Systemic Well-Being. Contact is made smoothly along the gumline, stimulating the Odontons (Nerve Roots of the teeth).

This probe is also popular for direct to specific area applications such as treating the TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint). It can be used inside the mouth in combination with an exterior probe or roller. The Long Ball Tip may be unscrewed and removed for cleaning (sterilization) separately from the base. It has become very popular as a Reference electrode under the lips (inside) when treating fine lines and wrinkles on the face (outside) with the Narrow Ball Tip or Specialty Facial Tissue Probe Tips (see below) using the Myopulse 75TN.

Auricular Probe (Ear)

This Probe is included by the manufacturer with every new Acuscope Model 80T. Mastery of the Acuscope includes knowing Auricular Therapy for Systemic Well-Being. Treatment of the ear also offers an opportunity to address “problems” that show up as active ear points. This refined accessory has a narrow, recessing tip that allows for precise point location and stimulation. Because of its precision point, electrical stinging is frequently experienced; however, results are remarkable when used appropriately. Best used in combination with the Large Plate Unit (including Junction Box). Use LPU under two hands for upper body issues only.

Twin Tip Trigger Probe

A bi-polar Trigger Probe (with 4-pin jack attached cord). This delicate probe, like the Y-Probe, has one tip that is the Active, while the other tip is the Reference; and the polarity reverses continually during treatment. Thus, it is used alone and not in combination with any other electrode. It was originally designed for facial application to deliver precision, targeted treatment to lines, wrinkles and small areas of the face such as eyelids and under the eyes. It has also become popular for treating fingers and toes; and around the wrist for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other small area applications.

Facial Tissue Probe

For use with the Myopulse 75LN and 75TN (Facial Calibration). The body of the probe is plugged into a coiled accessory cord and used as the Active electrode (inserted into red ring jack). It has four unique, interchangeable tips, each designed for specific Skin Care applications:

  • Fine small Round Tip – used for lines and wrinkles
  • Concave Cup Tip – used for “pimples” and other protruding blemishes.
  • Flat Small Tip – used for fine area application such as Rosacea
  • Flat Large Tip – used for areas such as under eye puffiness or pock marks.

Insert the tip of choice into the opening (hole) and press down gently (not too far) but securely.

In combination with Specialty Facial Tissue Probe, Electrode Choices can be: Non-Trigger Probe with Narrow Tip; 1” x 1” Mini Plate; 1” X 3” Mini Plate; Large Plate with Bar; Grand Single Roller under the Hand. Another excellent choice as a Reference is the Oral Probe, inside the mouth which allows the current to be pulled through the facial tissue from under the skin surface.

Lymph Probe Set

Specialty probe set used primarily by medical practices that specifically treat the Endocrine System (lymph nodes & glands).

Some practices prefer the use of this set with its smooth rounded Disks and ergonomic angle for working on the face or any area of skin surface.

Solutions and Creams

The Manufacturer provides Conductive Electrolyte Solutions and Creams created for treating neuromuscular pain, dysfunction and stress using the Electro-Acuscope and Myopulse. Specialized Conductive Face Creams are available for facial rejuvenation with the Myopulse 75TN,

The Solutions and Creams are meticulously formulated to achieve optimal performance:

  1. Reducing Skin Resistance: They effectively overcome the natural resistance of the skin’s electrostatic field at electrode contact sites.
  2. Matching Tissue Fluid Components: They match the electrolyte composition of the body’s interstitial fluid.
  3. Maintaining Current Velocity: They ensure a steady rate of speed as the current travels through the skin.
  4. Preserving Waveform Integrity: They convey Input and Output microcurrent waveform configurations without distortion.

Clear, two-way communication is fundamental to impedance monitoring, enabling sensitive bio-feedback from countless cells within the tissue. This accuracy allows us to transmit precise microcurrent carrier waves into and from the body through a transparent surface, free from interference.

The Acuscope & Myopulse Conductive Solutions and Creams not only maintain current velocity and voltage but also uphold consistent waveforms, allowing microcurrents to remain intact as they are transmitted for both reading and treatment functions. This reliability ensures and optimizes expected outcomes.

FDA Compliance Notice:

Compliance with FDA regulations requires the use of the approved Conductive Solutions and Creams produced and provided by the manufacturer.

Ultrasound Gel is not FDA approved for use with the Electro-Acuscope and/or Myopulse. This thicker type of gel is formulated to transmit sound waves and fails to accurately conduct microcurrent electricity, slowing down the speed of transmission (velocity) and altering the precise waveform configuration. Distorting the miniscule electrical signals received as Input and sent as Output severely compromises the ability of the Acuscope and Myopulse to function as FDA Registered and will yield diminished results.

Charger

It is of utmost importance that the Acuscope & Myopulse be on charge at all times when not in use. The instruments’ lead acid batteries cannot be overcharged. If necessary, after being fully charged, an instrument can be left off charge for several days (for example, when shipping) or even longer, up to several weeks.

After use, DO NOT leave off charge without first charging fully!

REMINDER: unplug Charger Module from the instrument AND unplug the Surge Protector from the wall when treatments are being given.

NOTE: It is highly recommended that chargers be plugged into a heavy-duty Surge Protector. When putting the equipment on charge after use, first plug the Surge Protector into the wall socket connection; then insert charger jacks into the instrument Charger Input receptacles (rear panel). Both green lights will come on at first; eventually the HI Charge Light will become dim and become dark when an instrument is completely charged. Should this pattern NOT occur, there may be a problem with the Charger itself, possibly not the instrument. Call or text Jan Dacri or your Distributor immediately. Once again: after use, the light on the left (ON) should be lit brightly; the light on the right (HI) should be bright at first, then become completely dark and remain dark until unplugged for use.

Leaving the instrument(s) plugged in/oncharge at all times when not in use is the best policy. When giving treatments, BE SURE TO FIRST UNPLUG CHARGERS from instruments AND THEN UNPLUG THE SURGE PROTECTOR from the wall socket. NOTE: if you leave the Surge Protector plugged in, even if you switch off the power, the gross electro-magnetic field generated by the Amperage of the chargers will still interfere with the ability of the equipment to read the tissue and deliver an accurate biofeedback-modulated microcurrent treatment.

WARNING: If you have any other models of the Acuscope and/or Myopulse, be sure NOT to switch Chargers. If you accidentally do this, you will severely damage your equipment!

It is highly recommended that you check the output of the chargers occasionally with an Analog Volt Meter to be sure they are functioning properly. Doing this once per month is a good policy.
